The Search for Wedding Suppliers

Finding wedding suppliers and organising a wedding can be a task that’s difficult to start especially when there are so many decisions and options out there.

The decision making process can also be fun when there are cake flavours to try and beautiful stationery samples to look through. I’m sure the wine tasting element of planning the day is a task that’s not going to be put off on the to do list too.

This blog post’s here to help you if you’re on a search for: wedding make up, patisserie for you dessert table, an event planner to take the pressure off, a wedding cake that’s full of flavour and beautiful at the same time, candlesticks to hire and possibly an ice cream van too. I’ve been lucky enough to work with the people I’ve mentioned below either at real life weddings or on styled photoshoots (or both!). I’ve linked to their websites or Instagrams so you can have a little explore or their incredible work. This isn’t the full list of suppliers I’ve worked with and recommend but I wanted to keep the blog post readable over a cup of coffee. For more amazing suppliers, head over to my Instagram where I tag suppliers in the photos on my grid and in stories. These wedding suppliers are available in the South East of England and some of them work further afield too.

Bunston Bakes

Ellie’s cakes are delicious and her butter cream icing is a thing of beauty. It’s so white and smoothly spread. I’ve worked with Ellie on lots of weddings and we also shared a stand together at a wedding fair a few years ago so I got to taste her incredible sponge cake and butter cream for a whole afternoon. It was a marvellous day! www.bunstonbakes.com

Bower Events

Working with Ellie from Bower Events on weddings and styled photoshoots is the most chilled and organised experience. Ellie also has a pure talent for making tables look incredible with her styling of vintage doilies, napkins, candles, tableware, place names and favours. www.bowerevents.co.uk

Poppy Tallulah Makeup

I usually arrive to drop off the wedding bouquets when hair and make up is in full swing. I’ve seen Poppy at work on the wedding morning and her skills with make up create a beautiful and natural look. You’ll still look like yourself with Poppy’s talents but you’ll also feel extra special too. www.poppytallulah.co.uk

Monannie

You only need to head over to Monanniecakes Instagram to see stunning patisserie pieces full of flavour that add modern glamour to dessert time. I’ve been lucky enough to try one of their tarts at a styled photoshoot and it was absolutely delicious. Fen and Segun create out of this world wedding cakes too. monanniecakes.com

Violet Paper Studio

I was lucky enough to create Vicky’s wedding flowers and we met years ago when we were both at our first wedding fair in Brighton. Vicky is amazing at graphic design and her wedding stationery pieces are beautifully illustrated with metallic foils and contemporary colour palettes. She also creates anniversary vinyls with the soundtrack to your wedding on them. violetpaperstudio.com

Caravanilla

Caravanilla have a very photogenic and retro looking ice cream van to keep your guests cool on a hot Summer’s day. If you’re thinking your wedding needs an additional snack option then an ice cream van adds the solution and creates an amazing backdrop for photos too. Caravanilla Instagram

Lo and Behold Bespoke

Lo and Behold Bespoke have vintage, retro and contemporary props for hire including candlesticks, bottles, ceremony backdrops and macrame pieces. Looking through their collection is like stumbling across a treasure trove of delights. If you are all about the final details then prop hire here is worth taking a look at. When it comes to wedding photography there are some incredible people out there but photography is such a personal choice too. To explore some photography styles and see what you’re drawn to, head over to my wedding flowers gallery where you’ll be able to see the wedding photographers credited under the photos.

Another great option for finding wedding suppliers is recommendations from family and friends. They may have had an incredible experience with their photographer but just haven’t got round to mentioning them to you yet. Ask around for tips from friends who’ve got married quite recently and think back to weddings you’ve been to when a particular detail stood out at you. Whichever wedding suppliers you choose I hope you have fun during the decision making process and as you get to know the amazing people running their wedding businesses. Have a wonderful time planning your wedding!
